Walls, Floors and Ceilings

As you would expect, over the years a lot of new products and materials have come onto the market. We have “road tested” these and have come to the conclusion that the following are as good as it gets :- Any Ceramic or Porcelain Wall and Floor Tiles from Spain or Italy, Marbrex and HDM UPVC Wall Cladding, Mermaid Wall Panelling, HDM Ceiling Boards, Berry Floor Tile Boards, Pergo Laminate Floor Tiles, Elesgo Laminate Flooring and Tuscan Realwood Flooring.

Ceramic or porcelain tiles are still popular for floors, but with laminate floor tile boards now available these are proving more so because again there is no need for grout. Laminate flooring itself is very much first choice especially now there is a waterproof option for the bathroom. Finally real wood flooring is the last option and when laid properly looks stunning.

The options for walls is quite large ranging from ceramic and porcelain tiles in many sizes, colours and finishes and grouts again in many colours to compliment. The popular alternative is UPVC tongue and groove cladding. Again they come in many colours and finishes but without the need for grout to make them waterproof. This means less maintenance later and is the less costly option over all. The third choice is waterproof panelling which again has many finishes and comes in three size of sheets. Again no grout is needed for this option and the material is plywood with a plastic laminate finish.

The most popular ceiling covering is vinyl covered MDF boards that come in different colours and are moisture proof. They can have a co-ordinated strip between or a mirror strip which gives the impression you can see through it. The other option is UPVC tongue and groove boards again with a wipe down surface.
